The Newest US War

Lately, the United States has just invaded Venezuela. It has never been thought of, as Venezuela hasn’t really harmed the US or our national security So let's dive into what really happened.

What followed was a very short invasion, B-12 bombers, F-22s, F/A-18s, and many more went and bombed strategic places in Venezuela, followed by a ground invasion which quickly arrested the President of Venezuela and his wife, accused of dealing drugs. The US attacked Fuerte Tiuna, a military base where Maduro and his wife were staying. 100 people died, civilians, and 32 Cuban bodyguards.

The reaction from Venezuela’s Vice President, Delcy Rodrigues, cited from State TV follows “We demand the immediate liberation of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. He is the only president of Venezuela… We have the sacred duty to safeguard our national independence, our sovereignty, our territorial integrity that has been savagely attacked.”

Trump then appointed a new president, but I think more of a “puppet ruler”. Now, many people think that this silly invasion is a cover. Venezuela is a country rich in natural oil, sold to enemies of the US-Russia, China, to fuel wars. Now, the appointed leader, Delcy Rodrìgues was also warned that she would “pay a very big price, probably bigger than Maduro.” -Donald J Trump. He also started controlling the country’s oil-yet another war crime, based on the UN rule of permanent ownership for natural resources, the oil belonged to Venezuela’s people. He also changed his saying “Make America Great Again” and claimed that he wanted to “Make Venezuela Great Again”.

Maduro and Flores have been charged with Narco-conspiracy, trafficking cocaine and fentanyl into the US, possessing illegal weapons, and sending illegal immigrants. All, without evidence, and both pleaded not guilty.
